Anton Matveev.
Wedding photographer
since 2008.
I am a destination wedding photographer combining documentary observation with editorial portraiture. I have photographed more than 400 projects, from intimate ceremonies to full wedding days.
Most of a wedding cannot be repeated, and it should not need to be. I pay attention to the people around you, the rhythm of the celebration and the moments between the scheduled events. When a portrait needs direction, I keep it simple and calm.
Clear preparation is part of the work: we discuss the timeline and locations before the wedding, sign a contract, and set the gallery delivery date in writing.

More than 400 projects since 2008
Experience changes what happens before the shutter is pressed. I look for delays in the timeline, difficult transitions and changes in light early enough to adapt without turning them into a problem for the couple.
I work in English and Russian and understand Spanish. International coordination can happen directly with you or through your planner, with the agreed coverage, payment schedule and delivery date recorded in the contract.

Calm direction when it is useful

Questions couples ask me
How do you stay unobtrusive during a wedding?
I learn the timeline in advance, keep moving and watch what is happening instead of repeatedly recreating it for the camera. This leaves couples and guests free to stay present while I build a complete visual record.
How much direction do you give?
During portraits I can suggest a position, movement or better light, especially when a couple feels uncertain. During the ceremony, dinner and most of the day, I concentrate on real interactions rather than directing them.
Where do you travel?
I am available for destination weddings across Europe, including celebrations in Italy, France and Greece. The country, schedule and travel arrangements are confirmed before booking.
When will we receive our photographs?
A short preview is normally shared soon after the wedding. The complete edited gallery is usually delivered within 14–25 days, with the exact date written into the contract.
What languages do you speak?
I work in Russian and English and understand Spanish, which helps when coordinating international celebrations and communicating with local teams.
My responsibility is not to make a wedding perform for the camera. It is to notice what is already there: relationships, gestures, atmosphere and the way the day changes from morning to night.
The photographs should still feel specific to you years later, not like a version of somebody else's wedding.
