About

Anton Matveev.
Documentary as a
way of seeing.

I don't ask you to "stand there and smile." I wait for the moments when you're truly yourselves — the laughter, the tears, the reckless dancing and the quiet glances. That's your story.

My approach is to be everywhere and nowhere at once. You rest, you talk to your guests — and I make a film of your day.

Before you ask

Questions couples ask me

How are you so unobtrusive? We barely noticed you.

That's the whole point. I don't line people up or call the shots — I watch. It's why you look alive in the photos, not staged.

What if your camera fails on the day?

I always carry two full professional Canon kits. If one body goes down, I reach for the second and keep shooting. Your memories are never at risk.

Where do you travel?

Across Europe and beyond — Italy, France, Greece and further. Travel within Europe is usually built into the package; for anything further it's simply flights and accommodation.

When will we get our photos?

A sneak peek within a day or two of the wedding. The full gallery follows in a few weeks — faster than most, thanks to a tight post-production workflow.

Will you help us pose? We're not models.

Of course. During portraits I'll gently guide where to put your hands and how to catch the light. The rest of the time you'll just be with each other — and I'll catch it.

Manifesto

I don't photograph an event — I photograph your story of love and devotion. My aim is to show the world how much you love each other, and to keep the feelings you'll want to remember forever.

If you're thinking about your wedding, or you've already set a date — let me help make that day the best it can be.
